PALM OIL

Palm oil contains 1% myristate, 38% palmitic acid, 0.5% palmitic acid, 4.5% stearic acid, 44% oleic acid and 12% linoleic acid. Palm oil is also rich in some bioactive substances, of which the carotenoid content is 500 ~ 700mg/kg, so palm oil is deep orange-red, this pigment can not be effectively removed by alkali refining. Palm oil is rich in vitamin A (500 ~ 700mg/kg), natural vitamin E (tocopherol), and tocopherol content up to 600 ~ 1000mg/kg.

Application

1. Application of palm oil in food industry
As a edible oil, palm oil has its unique advantages, rich in vitamin E and tocotrienol are natural and efficient antioxidants, which makes palm oil more suitable for frying and barbecue food compared with other fats.

2. Industrial use of palm oil products
① Mainly used in the manufacture of soap, stearic acid and glycerin, the annual demand is basically more than 100,000 tons.
② The use of palm oil as biofuel has been discovered and has become a new growth point for the use of palm oil in the future. Many scholars have used palm oil and palm kernel oil to prepare biodiesel.
③ Palm oil can be used as a raw material for scented candles, and also as a raw material for making soap.
